Founded in Cape Town.
Built for creators.
Nomad Cowork started in 2021 with a single floor in Woodstock and a belief that workspace should reflect how creative people actually work — not how offices have always looked.
The story so far.
Jordan Katz spent five years freelancing from cafés, kitchen tables, and the occasional hotel lobby. What he wanted was simple: a beautiful space, good coffee, fast Wi-Fi, and people who took their work seriously without taking themselves too seriously.
He couldn't find it. So he built it.
Woodstock opened in 2021 — a converted warehouse with exposed brick, brass fittings, and a rooftop that catches Table Mountain at golden hour. De Waterkant followed in 2023, bringing coastal light and Atlantic air to the network. East City Precinct joined in 2024, purpose-built for the tech-forward, 24/7 crowd.
Today, Nomad serves 300+ members across three locations. The spaces are different — industrial, coastal, urban — but the principle is the same: workspace that's designed with the same care you put into your own work.
